Class 2 Evaluation
I thought that class went surprisingly smoothly today despite the fact that class took place over facebook. In my opinion the whole setup worked relatively flawlessly with only a few hold ups here and there do to people being unsure of the way the directions were posted. Besides this though I was amazed by how much we were able to get done as a class without actually being present in the classroom. I thought that without being in the classroom its a bit more difficult to be taught by the teacher however it made it possible to try and self teach yourself and few things and the class was still worthwhile and beneficial in the end. I thought Doc Chris did a good job leading the class overall, however, a few times directions were somewhat unclear requiring students to ask for a more detailed explanation

Class 1 Evaluation
In class today we learned about classmates as well as the basics of sight, sound and motion. What we learned about the class subject was how to describe sight, sound and motion at a 5 year old's level of understanding. In my group today we learned about objects which the sight, sound and motion of are contradictory to each other. The group seemed to split up into multiple smaller sections and then reunite and share our ideas once everyone thought of a few. I participated in the group as I gave my own idea of an example for the group activity, which made me feel like I sufficiently participated in the group activity. Dr. Chris did a good job of keeping the class on task the first day and jumping into straight into what the class is about. On top of this he used a sense of humor to keep class time engaging and even entertaining while still being educational. He explained the material well and did a good job of assisting students who had questions or weren't sure of something class related. I don't have any suggestions right now about what I'd like to do in future classes, but I look forward to seeing how the Law and Order demonstration is played out next week.
Activity One: Men In Black Cricket Gun
One example our group chose to demonstrate contradicting observations in sight sound and motion was the infamous Cricket Gun featured in the movie Men In Black. While watching the clip viewers observe that Tommy Lee Jones hands Will Smith an incredibly small single handed, silver firearm, while he takes for himself a significantly larger two handed silver gun. Viewers then hear Will Smith complain about the size of his gun as he wrongly associates it's size with it's power. When the small gun is fired it makes a very faint noise that sounds like a cricket chirping and then amazingly the power of the weapon sends Will Smith flying across the room into a wall and causes a fairly large explosion as it destroys a large window. The motion of the gun when firing completely contradicts both the sight of it and the sound it makes.
